WHY THE FORGE?

We desire that The Forge would be a fun, God-honoring atmosphere!

There are large outdoor group games, free time activities, the Snack Shack, a waterslide, team competitions,
camp food, God & I time, cabin small groups, and evening chapels.

This is a fun week, but we want it most to be a spiritually encouraging week!
Our theme is “Taking the Next Step”.

It is our prayer that our students will take the next step spiritually, whether that is choosing to trust Christ as Savior,
deciding to be baptized, or making the commitment to follow the Lord in true discipleship.
We want students to follow the Lord’s leading and take that next step!

FAQs

Who is The Forge for?

For students starting 6th graders-Graduated 12th graders

What are the sleeping arrangements like?

Students stay in rooms or cabins that hold 8-12 campers that are within 2-3 grades of each other. There is an adult counselor of the same gender staying with the students for guidance and supervision. Girls stay in a lodge-type building and boys stay on the other side of the camp in individual cabins. Each cabin & room has a separate bathroom and shower.

Is camp safe?

We put a high priority on camp security at The Forge. We are thankful for a campus that is very secure and that all buildings are close to one another. We do have a security team that is on watch 24 hours a day ensuring that no one is allowed on the camp grounds without checking in and getting approval to be there. All counselors and staff have undergone a background check. We have an RN on sat that takes care of all of the health needs of our students. Each cabin has a full time counselor that ensures that each student is safe and participating in the schedule.

Can my student choose who they cabin with?

Yes and No: When a student registers they can request to be in the same cabin as a friend, provided that they are the same gender as their friend and within 1-2 years of age. We try to put similar age students in the same cabin together. Friend Requests are considered but can not be guaranteed.

What does my student need to bring or not bring?

What should students bring? Bible, clothes, swimsuit (with t-shirt & shorts), towel, toiletries, sunscreen & bug spray, more clean clothes, sweatshirt, sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, friends, money for the Snack Shack, deodorant, and a pen.
What should students not bring? Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vapes, guns, weapons, fireworks, phone, tablets, headphones, video games.

Are Cell Phones Allowed?

No, we do not allow any cell phones while students are on the bus to/from camp, or while they’re at camp. Phones can be a distraction for our students, and we want them to be “all there” while they are at camp. The Camp Staff will have phones & WiFi access and will be able to check messages as needed.
